What we’re after with the M2 Series is a new genre of rock guitar: a Rock Animal.  Contoured to nestle in and become part of the player, it pushes forward our guitar architecture philosophy by being chambered, very light, responsive and fast, not to mention elegant and easy on the eyes.  The M2 Special™ shown here is a Swamp Ash body with a “Sinker Redwood” laminate top, wood harvested from giant, aged redwood trees that have been hidden for more than a century at the bottom of the riverbeds of Californian rivers, a “tone wood” valued for its tight grain structure and cross-grain stiffness.  Add to that a thick singing overwound magnet-under bobbin neck pickup and bright, powerful magnet-in-bobbin bridge pickup, this guitar is the perfect blend of mellowness, with lots of snarl on tap.
